Predictions for 2026

Predictions for 2026

Having channeled a massive amount for Many Moons 2026
already, by now, I feel prepared for what is to come. However, there’s a big difference between awareness and implementation, which I am certain many of you highly sensitive, high pattern recognition overthinkers can understand.

This Is A Year Of Action

This must be the year you take action.
This year calls for boldness, and risk. It’s time to look at your energy, look at what action is producing what outcome, and change accordingly.

Next year will feel like a continuation of this one. The overall external timbre will not shift drastically; that will happen in 2027 and 2028. Collapse, chaos, betrayal, curveballs, delays, and so on, will continue. The difference now is there is more supportive energy around action-taking.

You’ve lived through 2025 and have learned new skillsets. You are ready to apply the lessons you’ve learned. You’ve learned new skillsets and are clear about the ones you must continue to learn and prioritize. External materialization is what 2026 will support. Talk less, overthink less, do more.

How many times have you known what to do and haven’t done anything about it? How many times have you received a strong intuitive message, but ignored it, only to kick yourself for ignoring it later?

Many of us have wanted deep change, but have lacked the capacity to initiate it. For many of us, our allostatic load was at an all-time high. This is not your fault. Getting out of survival mode is the first step. You can do it. Your intuition and nervous system hold the key.

Suggestions for right now: Note where you are in terms of capacity. Write down everything you want to do, and start with the items that are within your capacity now. Begin to focus on small moves with material results, to show your nervous system you are capable.

2026 Is The Year of The Pivot

There will be a lot of shifts next year related to all the chaos and uncertainty of 2025. When there is uncertainty, there are extreme reactions. People will double-down and try to avoid more upheaval, or will understand that nothing is promised, and we might as well do what we want. There are ways to honor both, and everyone’s process will be different.

The speed of change will accelerate. It will be hard to know what is here to stay, and what is a passing trend. While innovation and efficiency are welcome, this energy will also make timelessness, integrity, and simplicity equally attractive. People will be drawn to the newest technologies and trends, but also crave steadiness and philosophies, brands, and people they can trust. Most likely, there will be more instability in the economy, more people jumping on fads, and more microtrends. Only those who can capitalize on those effectively, and who know when to get out, should do so.

Companies will be rebranding, different philosophies will emerge in the mainstream, and the people around you will change. If something isn’t working for you, pivot. If you are bored, pivot. Pivot your mindset, behavior, and reactions.

Mass moves are part of this shift. More people, especially young people, will be moving back to their hometowns, or to smaller villages and towns, because they want nature, authentic relationships, and a slower pace. People want to build community in places that foster those values, and as larger cities become more expensive, there will be an exodus of people.

People will also be moving out of the United States, which will continue steadily over the next 2 years. Folks with the resources will buy property to live in part-time, or will relocate completely. Health-related tourism will rise; it will be increasingly normal for people to go to Mexico for dental work, or Spain for IVF, rather than deal with the crushing costs of healthcare.

The global pivot will also have the United States moving away as a superpower, as countries such as China and Mexico emerge as nations investing in their people and technology. The economy and stock market will reflect this.

There are many invitations around this pivot energy. It is ultimately to create resources, stability, and self-trust within. You are being asked to trust your intuition and act on it with more confidence and quickness. You are being asked to figure out how you learn best and what your challenges are. If it is fear, loyalty, nostalgia or insecurity that stops you, this is the year to figure out how to get over your baggage. If you tend to go into shut-down or self-isolate, pivot times require you to break those patterns. The overall invitation is to develop adaptability, have more access to your agency, and an overall acceptance of life that includes, not excludes, you.

Suggestions for right now: If you find yourself feeling stuck or stagnant, begin switching up little things in your daily routine. If you know what is holding you back (a frozen nervous system, fear of judgement, discomfort), name and confront it now. Awareness is the first step. Use your intuition to figure out a way forward. What have you always wanted to do, but have felt was too risky, or unsafe? This is the year to go for it. If you know you want to move, begin exploring possibilities now by traveling, interviewing residents of those places, writing lists about what is most valuable to you. If you want to move internationally, start preparing now.

Reinventions and New Identities

We aren’t necessarily becoming different people, as much as we are becoming ourselves.

People who have the resources and motivation are becoming who they are without all the trauma and fear.

They are connecting to more of their Inner Child, or giving themselves what they couldn’t in their childhood.

Shapeshifts are part of nature, and you’ve probably felt overdue for a big shift. If you are ready to explore and share different sides of yourself, explore different interests, change careers, go back to school, take a course, change genders, switch up your style, create new offerings or styles in your business or creativity, this year is a yes.

This means that people will be changing careers, personalities, communication styles, and even their general cosmology. People’s auras will change as they become more comfortable with themselves and more excited about who they are and what they are doing.

Overall, people won’t be as interested in labels, especially related to work. Traditional jobs and careers are shifting, and so will become less relevant. Phases of careers and portfolio careers will become more acceptable. While “what you do for work” will still be relevant, increasingly, people will be more interested in who you are as a person and how you express yourself, over a title or label. There will be an emphasis on the quality of your actual work, the tangible results and outcomes. People without skill sets, talents, passions or work ethics will be left behind.

The workforce changing, and identity shifts will make people more open-minded. As people change for the good, there is the possibility that ruptured relationships can repair. As people expose their inner ugliness, you may be forced to distance yourself from them. Soul retrievals, alternative forms of trauma healing, and past lives will become more mainstream and could be part of your process of reclaiming yourself.

By late summer and early fall, you will most likely feel like your current self is a completely different person. You might feel like the concerns and worries you had in December of 2025 are now a distant blip. Embrace change in yourself, and welcome it in others: everyone is becoming more of themselves.

Suggestions for right now: If you’ve been interested in a side business, or want to begin thinking of your work as project-based, start ideating and planning. There is an emphasis on the actual work: what do you want to create? What do you want to make? Begin learning the skills you need, now. Notice what excuses show up when you think about changing your identity in a way you’ve always wanted. Write down classes you’ve wanted to take. Sign up for at least 1. Make moodboards of the style you want to experiment with, and start styling yourself differently. Become comfortable in this new direction first for yourself before sharing it with the world. If you’ve wanted to explore hobbies, shift your work, change creative direction or style, begin ideating and doing so now. By Spring, be ready to unveil at least 1 big reinvention.

A Return To Analogue, A Return To The Real

2026 marks a return to the real. In-person over texts. Tactility over the immaterial.

People are over screens and social media. More and more people will cancel their streaming services, and will prefer cinema or group watching over endless Netflix. Media will become increasingly centered around interest, and people are more likely to turn to YouTube to get their exact questions answered, or go to more niche providers, like Criterion Collection, to find exactly what they want. (I’ll touch upon social media in a later piece.) There may be an emphasis on people leaving phones at home, or at the door of some venues. People who are addicted to their phones, especially “using” when around friends, may be looked down upon—there will be a similar cultural attitude to screen addiction as there was around smoking cigarettes. People will be more interested in your Substack, YouTube Channel, or website than Facebook, IG, or even TT.

Crafting, handmade quality goods, hobbies, going outside into nature, gaming and so on will make a resurgence. People will be interested in more folk traditions, like herbalism, canning, growing their own food, reducing waste, building their own furniture, and creating their own legacy pieces connected to specific symbolism. People will want to learn how to make candles or incense over buying them. Folks will want to support small businesses, especially ones who are clear about sourcing their products and materials ethically. Corporate boycotts will continue. (And must!)

There is an overall widespread lack of trust, which I’ll discuss in the future pieces. People will become increasingly sick of celebrity and influencer culture, particularly those who seem completely cut off from the atrocities and realities of the world. People want depth, truth, rawness, and authenticity. People who are confident, and have informed, independent, and unique opinions will do well.

Suggestions for right now: Get a handle on your screen time. If you haven’t already, give yourself multiple full days with no social media, and/or no phone every week. If you need hobbies, think about what you loved to do as a child, and try that. Join local interest-based groups or begin your own. Take up something creative that you must do with your hands, like cooking, embroidery, knitting, or collaging. Start to hone your point of view. What do you think? How do you know what you think, without going to the comments section, those in your industry or friend group, or the internet?
